Fall IT Trends

Hey Lovelies,

So fall is upon us, and winter is definitely coming. If you live in any part of the world that has these seasons, you may like me, be dreading the upcoming months. I have said it many times before, "I hate the cold!" But, brace it we must! If I had to chose between fall and winter, I would chose the fall without a doubt. Living in New Jersey made me hate the winter so much, I shrivel at the thought of it. Especially when we got the snow storms, and I had to shovel my car out of 12 inches of snow.. *cringes* At the moment, I am trying to enjoy the last days of my summer wardrobe, but the weather in the UK will not allow me to be great! *sigh*

In preparation for the colder months, I am going to highlight some of my favorite trends for this fall. With the NYFW currently ongoing, fashion lovers like myself have been paying close attention to the runway shows and street styles of the attendees. So far, I can confidently say that I have picked out a few trends that I absolutely love.

1) The Reds

Best believe that it is going to be Red Hot this winter! Red is THE color to rock this season. Particularly red boots and shoes. Personally, I love red so I am excited to wear all my red pieces. I currently do not own any pair of red boots, but I am shopping for the perfect pair and I have my eyes on a few. If you already own a pair, then kindly whip them out, because it is time to take it for a spin.

2) The Checked Blazer

This is one of my personal favorites. Not only are checked blazers on trend for this fall, they are a classic piece, so you will definitely get to wear them all year round. I recently scored the perfect piece HERE, and I cannot wait to wear it.  Like with most blazers you will be able to pair them with a pair of jeans, skirt, or even shorts. I love a well structured blazer, so this for me is a must have.

3) Whiter than White

I know we are not supposed to wear white after labor day in the US, but hold that thought, because this year you definitely can. 'Tis is going to be the season for white shoes and bags. So, if you were one of those brides that tossed your shoes and bags into an old closet, you better go and find them, because these might be your last chance to wear them again. I was not a fan a white shoes or bags, because they tend to get dirty easily, but it has slowly warmed it's way to my heart, especially after seeing the Gucci Fall Fashion show. Man, did they have the best bags! I was lusting after so many of their bags, I almost cried, because I can not afford to have them all! It felt like the kid in a candy store, whose mom told not to touch anything, now y'all know how bad that sucks, right?

4) The Power Trench

Obviously, there is nothing new about trench coats. However, this fall, if you are going to wear them, you best make a statement. The great thing about investing in a great trench coat, is that you will wear them a lot in fall and spring, and if you live in the UK, Europe or Canada, you will probably wear them all year round because it tends to get really cold in those areas. I am particularly loving the Vinyl and patterned trench coats this year and will most likely invest in a few.

5) So Velvet

The last but not the least is the Velvet Trend. It was one of last fall's must have trend, and thankfully it stayed! *sigh of relief* I was one of those of people who went crazy (maybe not too crazy) with buying velvet pieces, because I love love love how they look and feel. So if you were like me, you can take a relaxing breath, because they are so back on this season. Personally, I will re shine and dust off all my pieces from last year for this year. However, if you didn't catch the velvet fever last year, this is your time to catch it.
